Four sleeps til Christmas! Wow that went fast.......
If you are anything like me I just love this time of year with dear friends and family...some new ones and some that left!
Loads of love and blessings all the same...

I really love to create so I decided our decorations were looking very pink and in need of more soft blue......this is something I've always wanted to do

Out came my last pack of "Silver Bells" by Kaisercraft

I used good quality card stock to shape the top hat using glue and tape to fasten it together....
A selection of the papers, lace, appliqué,pearls, acrylic embellishments and bead work.....

Thanks for stopping by.....

Merry Christmas!

Pretty Diary/journal

Hi everyone and welcome back to my happy place

Gosh hasn't the year gone really fast! so much happening for all of us and Christmas just around the corner.........

Kylie and I have been so busy with markets
and classes about to start.....so exciting!

I wanted to share with you all one of the lovely journals I created using a paper collection called "Sweet Delight"

Firstly I sort all the gorjuss pages to see which ones id like in each signature,
then cut to size with some plain papers.

Once the cover is ready I cover with the same collection,
some sticky canvas on the spine. then stitch in the signatures!
I like to leave the threads long so I can knot them and add a charm!
I had a play with resin a few weeks ago so I added one of the pearl butterflies to the cover for some interest!

Steam Punk Pocket Letter

Hi everyone and welcome back to my Happy Place!

This months Design Team Project for Tsunami Rose Designs
is a fun project using the new Pocket Letter collection

As always a very easy process to purchase, download and print out your requirements.....
I love working with Daisy's Designs!

Once I had selected which pieces to work with I set about trimming the corners and inking edges for the aged look that I love so much!

I have also used a cog stencil and inked with Vintage photo for a shadow effect!
Then using cog die cuts and chipboard I have embossed with a mix of gold and copper!

Im loving the effects of vellum so I die cut a few small cogs and added to the pocket letter as well!

There are Alphabets in this collection so I cut out and inked my words!

For the finishing touches .....washi tape and a chain with steam punk themed charms!

Vintage Pocket Letter

Hi everyone and welcome back to my happy place

Winter is very cold here in New Zealand and im envious of my friends all over the world who are enjoying summer!
The upside to this is getting into the crafty space and creating pretties to share with you......this weeks Design Team Project for Tsunami Rose Designs is another pocket letter using the beautiful "Ephemeral Love Affair"

To begin I had printed out this collection for my last project which as I have said before its so easy to do...
then cut to my pocket sizes and began by inking the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Di stress ink!

I have cut out some selection pieces and distressed the edges using my scissors then adding some ink as well for a rough worn look!

I have been playing with Resin and embossing so ive added some of these to my pocket letter for interest along with my little vintage inspired crochet pieces!

I also gathered some little scraps that I had tea dyed and added them as well and a final touch of some trim, flatback pearls,an inchie and a few sentiments my project is completed......

I hope you have enjoyed the process with me and thank you for stopping by.....

Ephemeral Love Affair Pocket Letter

Hi everyone
welcome back to my "Happy Place"
and a Design Team project for the month of July

I have chosen to use the  "Ephemeral Love Affair" collection from Tsunami Rose Designs!

The first thing to do with these gorjuss collections is print them onto your chosen paper or card......which is easy peasy!

This collection is just  beautiful!

After printing out my selection of pages I set to cutting to fit my pocket letter then using Tim Holtz Di stress ink I added some interest to the edges and also on some little pieces of chipboard scraps to make some matching embellishments.

I had been playing with embossing powder and resin so I thought this would be a lovely addition on my pocket letter to my friend!
I also cut out a sentiment from another collection, tore and inked the edges.

Then using laces, metal, embossed chipboard, flatback pearls, resin, and my little chipboard pieces .....decorated each pocket!

Finishing off with some matching seam binding for a dangle
and filled each pocket with goodies!

Petticoat Ephemera Vintage Card

Hi everyone and welcome back to my happy place
and another Design Team project for Tsunami Rose Designs

I have created this vintage style card using the gorjuss

I have set to cutting out the pieces I needed
and di-stressed with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo.

Then I have glued onto a cream cardstock
di-stressed and inked that to give a tattered vintage look

The fun begins laying down each layer, adding sentiments!

With the addition of lace and mini flat back pearls for some interest.....

and a twine tied with a bow to finish off!

I hope this has inspired you to go have a look at the gorjuss collections over at

Petticoat Ephemera Pocket Letter

This weeks Design Team project for Tsunami Rose Designs
is a Pocket Letter using the gorjuss

Then just print out and choose what you want to work with!
I have used black card as a mat for each section then inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Di-stress ink to give my project a more vintage look.......

The Digi Collections are just so easy to work with and look just fab! I went to work adding embellishments on each section of my pocket letter.....

I just love the sentiments included in the collection.....

Monochrome Black Wall Hanging

Hi everyone and welcome back to my happy place!

Some great news!
I have been selected to join the design team for Tsunami Rose Designs
so there will be lots more creations from me in the future!

For my first project for May I chose to work with the lovely Monochrome Black collection and created a wall hanging!
The collection was very easy to download and print off the pages and ephemera I needed for the project! ...... I love that!

I began by fussy cutting out the lady, sentiment flags and peacock to fit my little frame.

I decided some lovely baby pink accent would be perfect here....
so out came my box of embellishments! I painted the card frame pink and layered the pages.

I sooooo enjoy embellishing my projects!
I glued down the fussy cut lady from the collection and the picture frame....added some lace, feathers, acrylic flower and flat back pearls in matching colours.

Finally I added the sentiment flags
some pink seam binding to hang my wall hanging!

I hope you enjoyed this process and welcome you to leave a comment!

There is a sale on at the moment so rush on over and have a look... HERE

Crafty catch up

Hi everyone and welcome back to my Happy place!

Its been just over a month since Imagine if Design Team has finished and I thought I would have a break from crafting!

Ohhhh how wrong was I :)
Much crafting for fun with a few catch ups of swaps I am involved in with a few groups and orders to complete for flowers and journals.

And there was a surprise move house again! I am thinking Gypsy might be a suitable name for me these days.....what can a girl do when the owner wants his house back after only 7 months renting ... my little family and I are always up for the challenge ....we are all settled into a much bigger and more comfortable home :)

Here are some of the projects!

A few of my hand made flowers

A trio of journals!

For a closer look at my journals ......
