Fairies and Owls

 

 

 

 

Hi there everyone

well what a fun month of Fairies and Owls over at Imagine if!

For my last Design Team project for May I've chosen to alter a  wooden photo frame

Im just loving how it looks with some black and white photos.

 

 

 

I first gave the wood a stressed look with some vintage cream paint.

then got to work painting and adding texture to all the wee owls, some are card and felt laser cuts from Imagine if. I've used Tim Holtz stickles and distress inks.

 

 

For my fairies I've used cheese cloth tea dyed for the dresses,I've chopped the arm and moved it on the larger fairy which I've also added a butterfly wing created from a stamp and coloured with Tim Holtz distress ink :) loveeee them! The middle sized fairy I  cut in half one of the filigree butterflies from Imagine if and added to the wing for more interest.

Painted on some faces and a bit of texture on the moon which I  added glitter and a glow in the dark glitter!

 

The other half of the butterfly I added to my toadstool, the tree trunk is made from upcycled cardboard and paint!

 

I added some of the tea dyed cheese cloth around the photo sections to frame like a window, also added a trail of ivy around to create a forest look!

 

Adding a selection of the stars glittered and textured for a "Sparkle" in the night light!

I finally created an old fence with painted Ice block sticks cut roughly joined with some wire,

Seam binding dyed with Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink for curtain ties.

After much fun I continued to add a few paper white roses and a felt ladybug from Imagine if, a selection of very pale lemon paper and fabric flower.

Owl Birthday Card

Hi everyone :) this is my 2nd DT project for the month of May

A pretty girlie card!

I covered the laser cut-outs Owl and Stars from Imagine if 

with some random scrapbooking paper and trimmed and sanded to get a nice edge which I've inked to make them "Pop" with Tim Holtz di-stress inks.

Also added a name with glitter alphabets!

Finally I've glued them to a card covered with wood grain paper 

 added a sentiment from Imagine if

 all ready for the wee babe's birthday!

Vintage Memory Box

Hi everyone welcome to my happy place

 and the first of May's  DT project for Imagine If

Well firstly I took a look at the pieces of chipboard and decided I wanted to add a draw in so I traced a few extra sections in recycled cardboard

I then taped and glued it all together adding a cream coloured paint to all the edges.

Time for the fun began! I've covered the inside and outside with "Vintage Floral" By Kaisercraft

Added metal filigree to the corners, metal feet and handles.

I've added a selection of Tea dyed applique, flowers, bling.

 a black flourish from Imagine If



 I just had to make a small altered book in matching paper to pop in the draw and I also decided to add a key hole painted gold!

a quick crafty project to share! 

This is a card a put together for my daughter for mothers day

I have layered the birdcage so it is 3D

added inked hearts, a stamped sentiment and a mix of flower's and pearls.

 



Flower Pot Card

Hi everyone this is my 3rd and final DT project for April

 

 

A flower pot Card using the felt cuts from Imagine if

 

Using some card stock and an idea from Pinterest, I've cut out the card and flower pot envelope.

 

The flower pot I have added a folded and punched trim edge with a pretty pink bow.

 

The flowers I have used are some of the felt flowers from Imagineif and I have placed some paper leaf flourishes to add some interest to the card.....perfect for mothers day coming up!

I just love this Design die cut so much I've made another for a friend!

 

Using some of the sentiments, felt flowers and flourishes from Imagine if

 

The papers I've used are an old collection gifted to me (lucky girl)

they are very Autumn colours and perfect for this time of year

 

I have embellished with Tags and pockets using the same papers

flowers cut from a punch and pearl flowers added to the larger ones

 

finally some seam binding tied on the tags for pulls

I just love to create these :) 

 this one is all pink's and cream's

for a swap with a crafting friend in Australia

 

I first covered both CD's with a pretty paper from Kaisercraft

 then added laces and bead dangle trim.

 

 

off I went adding embellishments

 from Tea Dyed cheese cloth, Die Cuts, Seam Binding bows, Pearl Trims

Flowers and sprays.
I've added a wee photo frame for a picture to be added!
