Hi everyone and welcome back to my happy place and this weeks Blog Hop
Remember to leave a comment to be in the draw to win!
Giveaway this week is two new chipboard clock cutouts and a set of keys
if you missed the Blog before me go here
Jo the owner of Imagine if asked me to create a banner for her to use at SENZ
so she sent me a package of laser cut chipboard and canvas banners, laser cut hessian flowers and a selection of vintage ladies!
well how could I not take up the challenge :)
I set to inking the chipboard banners and di stressing the lovely green tone vintage papers I chose for this DT creation!
Next I spritzed the flowers with Vintage Photo ink to give them an aged look which was great as it made some of the petals curl for a more dimensional look.
Using the trusty hot glue gun I attached some tea dyed lace to all the banner edges and glued down the paper. The pearl drop beads I've rubbed over some Inca to age them and sewed them to each of the corners.
I used my lovely new Tim Holtz stain on the wooden letters I used to spell "Imagine if"
for a wee surprise for Jo.
Next I rubbed a little Inca gold on the edges of the letters, layered the flowers and hot glued in place ready for the final assembly.
I glued all the flowers and letters on each banner then added some dyed trim (just love this stuff) I added a ribbon that I aged with tea dye along the back of the banner for hanging then covered the back with the canvas!
All was looking lovely then Jo really wanted the vintage ladies on the Banner!
I must say I was a bit freaked out as I couldn't see how to add them!
All worked out in the end I cut them to fit in the angle as you can see then I stressed inked and rolled them to give the aged worn look!
I found these stunning butterflies in my DT stash added a little stickles for a sparkle!
